Welcome you all to the course English 2, which is the course for English at pre-intermediate level.

The aim of the course is to enable learners to study, understand and demonstrate knowledge of a vocabulary and grammar range covered in lessons. This course also helps learners speak confidently and use acceptable expressions in daily communication, listen and respond (orally and in writing) to each other, recorded texts and video clips, show understanding of the reading texts by responding to questions, and respond to writing exercises in the module appropriately.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

After finishing this course, learners can:

  1. Apply vocabulary in the lesson to  talk about common food in Britain and kind of food student likes  by using present simple
  2. Talk about some typical holidays in the past and describe a hotel student stayed in
  3. Talk about jobs and their duties
  4. Talk about what/how student spent their money on
  5. Explain  where student want to spend their time: in the city or near nature
  6. Talk about kinds of transportation student uses and which they prefer
  7. Use past simple to talk about activities in the past: holiday, shopping
  8. Apply the structure in speaking/writing about the things student enjoys doing or not mind doing.
  9. Use present perfect to talk/write about experience
  10. Describe: the characteristic of a person, a thing or a situation.
  11. Use a/an/the to talk about something/someone specific or general, identified or unidentified 
  12. Use past simple and past continuous to show an action interrupting another action
  13. Use a few, few, very little and a bit of in spoken and written English
  14. Understand  Spoken English in different common contexts at elementary English level
  15. Talk and Discuss about different topics in English at elementary English level
  16. Understand  written English in different contexts at elementary English level
  17. Write different common topics for daily communication at elementary English level

                                    LEARNING EXPERIENCE :

                                    This course will have 5 modules with 6 lessons, focusing on fundamental English skills: Vocabulary and Grammar, Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing.

                                    Each lesson will have one or several videos and links to be thoroughly studied, after that, students have to complete a quiz. After each module, students will be asked to do the progress tests and assignments. 

                                    During the study process (6 weeks), the allocation of study is very important. If you have any questions, please connect with the mentors for support.

                                    • This course is designed for learners with a good basic ability or who can improve a lot in all areas with an equivalence to A2 level according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
